Amazonian Oils of Strength and Heritage
For generations, Indigenous communities deep in the Amazon have trusted the rich, golden oils of the Ungurahua and Morete palms to care for their hair, skin, and wellbeing. Known for their strengthening, restorative, and nourishing properties, these oils have been used in ceremonial beauty rituals and everyday self-care, passed down through ancestral knowledge.
Harvested with respect for the land and cultural tradition, these oils are more than ingredients. They are symbols of connection: to nature, to heritage, and to the wisdom of those who live in harmony with the rainforest.
Sourcing with Purpose
Amisacho also works closely with our friends from Yakum, a non-profit organization focused on regenerative agroforestry and Indigenous empowerment. Yakum provides community-based training programs that teach ethical harvesting, forest stewardship, and economic self-determination, ensuring that our ingredients are not only sustainable, but also dignified in their origin.
Together, we support a model of beauty that uplifts, protects, and gives back.
We are Aquiles and Orhan, two friends connected by a shared love for nature and the desire for simple, honest products we truly enjoy using ourselves. We searched everywhere but couldn’t find anything that met both our daily needs and our values, so we decided to create our own natural self-care brand.
With support from GIZ, we traveled to Ecuador, Aquiles’s home country, to explore the incredible potential of native ingredients like Morette and Ungurahua oils. Our mission is to build a brand that honors indigenous knowledge and nature while offering a touch of luxury in everyday self-care.
This is the only product we use on our own hair, and through it, we fell in love with our hair again.
